to other sites that you may link to from our site. Please check the

to achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Protecting
customer privacy is part of our overall commitment to providing quality

Personal Information Collected
UA BookStores recognizes the need for customers to control the use
and management of personal information, particularly in the online
environment given the dangers of personal identification theft and
credit card fraud that has menaced our communities this last decade. By
"personal information" we mean information that can be used to identify
or contact an individual. This includes a first and last name, a
physical address, an email address, a student ID number, or a phone
number. In addition to customer information, we collect payment (credit
card) information, which may be distinguished as different.
If you are visiting our site to browse merchandise or to find
information about our business or our products, you do not need to
provide any personal information. If you decide to make an online
purchase, however, we do collect this information so that we can provide
you with the product or service you requested, and so that we can
contact you with information regarding your order. Please rest assured
that UA BookStores has implemented every security measure necessary to
attain level SAC-C PCI compliance as required by law.
Automatic Information Collected
Our website makes use of various technologies to collect information
about types and versions of internet browsers used when accessing our
website. This information, and information about internet IP addresses,
as well as date and time web pages are visited are stored in various
security and traffic logs. Our service provider reviews these logs,
using statistical analysis, in an effort to track and predict traffic
patterns and estimate resource needs. Unless we are tracking down a
technical problem, or we suspect either fraudulent behavior or illegal
conduct, we do not trace specific user sessions.
Information Collected from User Accounts
UA BookStores online customers will have an opportunity to provide
user account information including their first and last name, email
address, shipping and billing addresses, credit card information and
other potentially sensitive personal information. This information is
stored safely on secure servers and will only be used to fulfill the
delivery of online purchases or marketing communication as requested by
the user. Credit card information provided on the UA BookStores website
is protected by stringent security requirements in accordance with SAC-C
PCI compliance regulations and is inaccessible to any UA BookStores
employee. The customer will always have the option to edit any of the
personal information provided in their account profile and to modify
their personal information—including details regarding opt-in email
communication from UA BookStores. In some isolated cases, UA BookStores
personnel may access the account to modify the content at the user's
request. Other instances where UA BookStores personnel may need to
access a users account include; modifying a customer's loyalty points,
accessing purchasing history to re-printing receipts, to confirm an
online purchase, or to troubleshoot delivery problems associated with an
online order.
Information Collected from Contest Entry Forms
UA BookStores frequently uses giveaways to incetivize our customers
to subscribe to our opt-in email list. To qualify for the contest,
customers may be asked to complete a physical or online subscription
form requesting personal information such as first and last name, email
address, phone number and information relevant to the individuals
personal interests. UA BookStores uses this information to discern the
customer's individual interests and to send promotional communication
that mirrors such interests. This technique is used in an effort to
minimize unwanted email communication to our valued customers. In such
instances, personal information is transferred to a secure online
database until the user opts out of receiving email communication via a
small link at the bottom of our email communication. Entry forms are
stored securely for a short time and subsequently destroyed and
recycled. At no point will we share, sell or trade our customer's
personal information with a third party.
Personal Information Use
UA BookStores uses personal information provided by you so that we
can service your order. Also note that we may need to transfer that
information to our agents or employees of our service providers. For
example, we may need to provide your address to a wholesaler or shipping
company that will ship a product directly to you. We will only transfer
the information to the extent necessary to provide the requested
information, service, or product to you. We will not sell or trade your
personal information to unrelated third parties. When you submit an
order, you will receive an emailed confirmation from our system. As your
order status changes, you may also receive notifications via email.
These notifications are considered part of our service and may not be
disabled. We may also periodically send you email notifications
concerning products or services offered by the UA BookStores. Any such
notification will include instructions for opting out of future

to do so by law.

products and services. When you request such services or products we may
share required personal information that is necessary for the third
party to provide the product or service to you. We take reasonable steps
to ensure that these third parties are obligated to protect your
information on our behalf. It is also against our policy to sell or
trade information collected online without customer consent. We may,
however, release personal information if we are legally required to do
so. If we are legally compelled to release information to a third party,
the UA BookStores, may or may not notify you of this release.
Notification will be at the discretion of the UA BookStores, and will be
based upon the nature and conditions surrounding the release of
information.
